So I was hoping that my first post would be something more exciting, but I spent all of tonight dealing with my car. We stopped at home after work so Stegan could change before picking up a file cabinet we found on Craigslist. This was bad. When we went back outside to turn on the car, it wouldn’t start.
It clicked, but wouldn’t start. So we thought maybe it was just overheated because it was so incredible hot and sticky today. That didn’t work either.
I’ve found that when all else fails, call dad. So my father came over and brought his battery charger. We tried to jump the battery. We tried to charge it. Finally we took it to Sears to have them test it. They had the door opened, but were closed and refused to do a 5 second test. We took it to Advanced Auto Parts and they tested it. It was completely dead. We bought a new battery and hoped it would work once we changed out the old one.
It did! Hoorary! But now it’s time to get ready for bed and the big plans I had of sewing produce bags and a lunch mat and making a certain someone’s bridal shower gift are shot. Maybe tomorrow night.
And maybe tomorrow night I’ll get a new file cabinet.
