Annie Mohaupt handcrafts each pair of mohop shoes in Chicago from recycled tires, Finnish birch plywood, and various veneers. They are beautiful. I lust over them.
You pick from three different heel heights, three different shapes, a multitude of ribbons and ways to tie them, and end up with a one-of-a-kind pair of shoes! In the mohop gallery you can see all of the different ways women are wearing them.
If only I could cough up the $185/pair. I know they’re eco-friendly and handmade, and probably worth it, but I need to mull over decisions like this for years. I wonder if she can make them wide…

i have a pair and I LOVE them. or maybe i’m in love with them b/c i talk about them all the time. women are always checking out my feet when i wear them. my feet are a little on the wide side and they fit perfectly. she has sizing charts on her site so u can find out what size fits you.
