Jessamyn from librarian.net posted today that “dildos” is now a new Library of Congress subject heading (LCSH)! And, for all your librarian folk, it subdivides geographically (see the “Library of Congress Subject Headings Weekly List 39“) – so now when cataloging a book about how dildos are illegal in Texas, I can apply the correct LCSH. I hope to someday apply this in my professional career.
